The number of operations on the vertebral column is increasing, but is a delicate task because of the nervous system. The operation requires absolute precision. The spin-off company of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne has developed an operational robot that allows the surgeon to precisely place the spinal column screws where they need to go. The robot «Neuroglide» has already been tested on corpses. Result: The robot worked up to five times more precise than the surgeon.
