NANOFIBRE REPLACES 100 LEDs IN THE DISPLAY
Yann Tissot, CEO of Lausanner Startup L.E.S., has developed a fiber optic based on nanofibers for LCD displays of tablets and notebooks, which requires up to 30 percent less energy. Reason: One single fiber replaces 100 LED lights. The nanofibers also ensure a more uniform illumination of the screen than the individual light points of today’s displays. The IT giants in the world are already showing great interest in this innovation.
