The de Vigier Awards are for all outstanding entrepreneurs, regardless of gender, ethnicity, race, or religion. We strongly encourage everyone to apply. If you have any questions or reservations, do not hesitate to reach out to our managing team at info@devigier.ch.
IMPORTANT: It’s crucial that the CEO of the company applies and goes through the entire process personally. The application deadline is January 6, 2023. Please read the FAQ below and look at the list of important dates.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

We are going to evaluate:

  • Founder and entrepreneur profile
  • Innovative character
  • Overall relevance in society; the degree to which it satisfies an existing need
  • Feasibility of the project’s realisation from a
    • technical standpoint
    • financial standpoint
  • Chances of success on the market
    • size of the potential market
    • number of jobs created
  • Market competitiveness

FAQ

All entrepreneurs must apply personally and:

  • are able to present an innovative, future-oriented product or service concept
  • are dedicated to their project full time
  • have already or are about to establish a Switzerland-based company
  • have their registered residence in Switzerland
  • are (usually) not older than 45 years

Every year, the W.A. de Vigier Foundation awards prize money up to 6 x CHF 100,000 per startup. You also get access to a fantastic network of investors, alumni and industry experts.

The Selection Day Top 60 takes place at Palais Besenval in Solothurn. Most of the other assessments, preparations and the Award Ceremony are taking place at the de Vigier Sommerhaus in Solothurn.
