CUSTOMIZED BONE IMPLANTS
The Basler Medtech start-up MIMEDIS AG designs bone implants through a combination of 3D planning software and 3D printing for patient-friendliness. In contrast to standardized solutions, the customized solutions have an optimal fit and a shortened recovery phase. CT or MRI imaging of patients is the basis. These data are segmented, processed for implant planning, and the bone substitute is produced in-house on the basis of the three-dimensional data set of MIMEDIS in-house.
